The gentle art

Brazilian
Jiu-Jitsu

A grappling art built on leverage, position and technique, where skill matters more than size.

The training

Technique beats strength

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) teaches you to control an opponent on the ground using positioning, leverage and submissions. It is often described as physical chess.

Classes typically move from technique to partner drills, helping you understand each position step by step before you apply it.

The benefits

  • Practical grappling and self-defence skills
  • Functional strength and mobility
  • Problem-solving under pressure
  • Greater patience and composure
  • A close-knit training community

Who it suits

  • Beginners of any size or background
  • Anyone who prefers grappling to striking
  • Strikers who want to round out their skills
  • People looking for a long-term skill to master
